In order to predict the
mechanical properties from a microstructure, it is necessary to obtain
data on mutual relationship. Generally, Hardness, Yield Stress,
Elongation, etc. are influenced by Phase Fraction, the grain size,
Secondary Dendrite Arm Spacing, concentration of the alloy element used,
etc.
In case of the MT-SK model, it is possible to predict the size of
the grain, and the following mechanical properties can be predicted from
this with the experimental formula.
